But i know that is impossible so i better buck up and study really hard the next few weeks. I need sheer determination and clear and focused mind for the next few weeks. I CAN DO IT!!!! its been a while!

Its been quite a while since i last blogged and indeed many events have occurred since the last time i blogged till now. Firstly, my bro is officially a graduate now! haha this is one and a half weeks late but CONGRATULATIONS BRO!!!! =) Secondly, Godma, Uncle Bert, Aunty Margaret, Mummy and i had an awesome weekend trip to sydney!! It was really really enjoyable. We had absolutely good food and the company needless to say was the best that anyone can ask for. Though it was only about two and a half days but i really enjoyed every single minute of it. We went to all the places that we had set out to make sure we cover over the two days like taking photos with the sydney opera house, eating at kingsford chinese restaurant, going to the fish market, eating the very yummy sushi, the delicious hk style breakfast at chinatown, darling harbour and sitting and trying out almost every available form of transport there is in sydney. And shopping there definitely didn't disappoint us =) It was definitely one of the best weekends ever! =) Good memories to cherish!

After that, the house was very crowded when everyone came down for the bro's graduation. A total of 8 people actually stayed in my apartment! haha that is definitely a record number. But now it's just ME, MYSELF and I! I'm still getting used to living and cooking alone. It takes time i guess, but now i definitely cook alot simpler stuff. Its usually just a dish and rice. Or bread and biscuits. There are just days where you get so lazy to whip up a meal and you will just settle for anything you see. It helps me to lose weight, so i guess that's a good thing. BUT anyway, its 16 days till i return back for a two week break! I'm definitely looking forward to it. But in the meantime, school has been pretty interesting. I guess law is really a course that i feel is practical and useful. Hopefully that shows in my grades at the end of the semester. haha we'll see!

On a different note all together, i thank God for daddy's speakers, as my music is really my lifeline here. It's the best companion in a very big and empty apartment! =) okay, i will try and update about my life here whenever i feel there is something to write. anyway, SEE YOU ALL VERY SOON!!!!! =)

The more the merrier

I haven't blogged in about two months! Anyway, tomorrow morning aunty margaret, godma and uncle bert will be arriving in melbourne and on friday we will be going to sydney for the weekend!!! =) YAY! i'm happy and excited about our trip! Though its short, but its definitely better than nothing! =) So my melbie apartment will get merrier and merrier the next two weeks but after that its going to be me ME and ME! And then about a month later, im returning to singapore! There will be quite alot of flying around that i will be doing these few months! Anyway, just thought i'll give a quick update! =) Hope all is good back home!

Jaslyn's kitchen is officially closed for the semester!

So my kitchen is officially close for the semester! And its also the last time korkor will get to taste my cooking! haha. For our finale, i cooked chilli chicken, brocolli and egg. Our three standard dishes and i guess that was a good way to end it off since i think one of the first few meals i cooked for him when he first came also comprised of the same three dishes! hahaha. That's the end of our cooking journey together for the past two years! haha korkor has been my scapegoat, trying all my weird dishes and often eating repeated dishes because i'm quite a hopeless cook! Thanks for being such a good 'customer' korkor! I've definitely enjoyed cooking for you, although i know at times i complain how tiring cooking is (during stressful periods) and all. I will miss going to the supermart with you and i would buy the same few items like brocolli, ham, bacon, mushroom, minced chicken, chicken breast and so on and ask you what you wanted to eat for the week so i could plan accordingly. Just like yesterday while i was walking towards the dairy section to get my cheese, i saw ravioli on discount!!! My eyes totally lit up and i immediately shouted for korkor to come over. In the end we bought two packs for 5 dollars and it was good! We had it yesterday with bacon, ham and mushrooms. I'll miss the times where we rush to have lunch and supermart all within two hours because of our free carpark, and how you would guide me how to park head in so that we can load our items more easily later. Its been fun! =) anyway, i shall save all this rambling for another time when i can find the time, but for now, i just want to say i've really enjoyed the two years bro!!! =) Oh yes, and on sat i accompanied the bro to the library to help him find books and photocopy! Korkor says its a special service that i can offer to other uni students and get paid for it! haha i wish! After that we had nandos which is opposite our school. It was a good dinner, good solid chicken breast stick and tasty peri peri chips. Anyway, i better get back to work now! the parents are coming tomorrow, so im officially resigning from all duties and just focus on studying!!!! PLEASE HELP ME PRAY FOR MY EXAMS!! i will study hard in the meantime!!!
here are some pictures we took!

End of first semester of 4th year

So today marks the last day of school of the first semester of my 4th year! Actually not quite, since i've one more class on tuesday since my teacher went on strike that day and are having a make up class for that. But still, the content and substance have all been taught and now its just revision time!! i've tons to cover and tons of notes to do as well. Time is running out and i am having a very frantic race against time. I wish time could just stop and allow me to finish revising first. AH!!! i've 3 very very heavy subs and very very little time left. I pray that God will watch over me and grant me the determination and wisdom and that he will see me through this very difficult time. I felt really stressed in school today, it was like a wave of anxiety that overwhelmed me for a while. The conclusion is : I REALLY NEED TO STUDY VERY VERY HARD!!! i need to PUSH myself to the limit!!!! Its only a few more weeks of suffering and it will be enjoyment after that. Hopefully this positive thinking can get me through this very tiring and trying times.

Anyway, on a very different note, the bro and i ate fried rice and campbell soup tonight. I decided to cook since there are not many days left for korkor to taste my cooking! hahaha. NOT that it is great though! anyway, about one and a half hours after dinner, the bro said he was hungry! so fast right? he had this sudden craving for eating some souvlaki. So we called for delivery. two chicken souvlaki and chips and two soft drinks. it was a set that costs us 20 dollars. Its pretty worth it. BUT im SO full now! i cant believe i ate two dinners tonight! and all these is thanks to the bro and his hunger pants! Now im sitting here feeling very bloated and slightly uncomfortable. i really think i overate. =( But it was pretty good i must say. haha. okays, i better get back to work now!!!

one battle has ended and another has just started!

I finally handed up my take home exam today after 4 very tiring days! But im just glad its over! Whatever the outcome is, i think i've done my best! And i must say thank you to the bro! he was very nice to buy me food and snacks to keep me going! THANK YOU! =)

But now its time to study for the exams that are just two weeks away! So much to cover and so little time! AH! I better 'cheong' this two weeks!!! It's really like a race against time! And this is also the last week of school for me!! im almost done with my first semester of 4th year!!! =) i just gotta hang in there a little longer!

Anyway tomorrow is korkor's last day at uni and also last day of his schooling life!!! WOW! Lucky boy! no more school for him after this and soon he will be stepping into the corporate world!! ENJOY YOUR LAST DAY AT UNI BRO!!!! =) aww...that means no more waking up early and leaving for school together!! =( i guess i will miss rushing him for school. When we are going for morning classes that start at 9, im always the kanchong one and say 'HURRY UP, LATE ALREADY!' . haha sometimes i get so impatient i even leave first! haha. Oh wells, this marks the end of 2 very fantastic years with him here! =) It'll always form part of my good memories of melbourne!

Okay, these are some photos that we have taken but just havent gotten around to putting it up! Enjoy!

The hibernation starts in 4 hours and 40 mins!

Week 11!

And so we are into week 11 now! In other words, it is also the second last week of school! Tensions are rising, eyebags are growing and attendance in classes are suddenly soaring! This is definitely a sign of the up and coming exams. And i've one in just two days time! Will time please slow down? It's seriously moving too fast for my liking. I wish there was a stop button where i can press it and everything would just come to a halt while i try and catch up with whatever i need to do. Anyway, it's also the bro's second last week of uni life!! I can't believe he's gonna graduate soon! Time really does fly! It seems like only yesterday where he was talking about joining me in melbourne and now we are talking about his graduation already. But i must say that he's been an awesome housemate the past two years or so and that i've enjoyed all the fun times we've shared in melbourne! Well, as they say all good things must come to an end, and i have to enjoy his company while i still have it for the next few weeks!

Okay, so its back to the books!! I shall read more of my evidence notes now!!! STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!!!

ps: i know there is a serious lack of photos on this blog! i promise i will post them up once my take home exam is over!

Week 10 is ending!

Tomorrow marks the end of week 10 for me! I've got 5 hours of class tomorrow and i'll be done for the week. Can't believe that i've only two weeks of school left before its swot vac and exams! Nothing interesting has happened lately, it's been a pretty monotonous routine to school and back home. Haha i'm trying to think very hard what i can blog about, but my life has been so uninteresting lately that i'm seriously cracking my head to think of something. Anyway, tomorrow is my last lesson for evidence and proof before my take home exam next week. I must say this subject is a pretty enjoyable one, it gives me a very different perspective and insight when i watch homicide and detective shows on tv like 'FBI Files' or something because i begin to appreciate how important the police and the prosecutors have to work together to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to justice. Its basically about admissibility of evidence, coming up with the factual scenario and trying to prove your case. It sounds really easy but in practice it's alot more complicated when there are tons of things you've to consider. Hopefully i will be able to do all this in my take home next week. I'm pretty stressed about it and i'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will turn out fine.

On a different note, everybody must read the life section of the Sunday Times this week! There is going to be an article about the chow chow blog that korkor set up! the link is mychowchows.blogspot.com. It's gonna be pretty exciting! =) Okay, i guess i've to get back to work now!! Oh yes, Daddy take care in Sri Lanka k? Be very very careful!!! love everyone loads! =)

Going all out for the exams!

So i finally submitted my property research essay yesterday! Glad that finally it's out of the way and i can focus on my upcoming exams. Its scary how it's only a month away and there is just so much to cover. But nevertheless i will fight on till the end!! I pray that God will give me the discipline and determination! It's about 1 and a half months more to singapore! Anyway, the weather here is really nice and cool these few days. It hasn't been as crazy as what it was a week ago. A week ago it was hovering around the 5-6 degrees region but this week its around 13 degrees. This weather makes it so nice to sleep in, and it gets dark at 5 that the day seems really very short. So today is the 9th of May, exactly 1 more mth on the 9th of June, i would be sitting for my first paper. Why oh why do my exams have to fall on the 1st day? Sigh! Anyway, since there is nothing i can do about it, i must start preparing now.

On a lighter note, we had japanese food last night. The friday jap place that we always go to. I ate the sushi platter, all salmon of course and it was not bad until i ate one piece where the salmon sashimi wasn't fresh! I almost puked and in the end just spat it out. The bro said my face changed colour immediately to green. Yeah, it was pretty bad, so im a little scared of raw food now i think i will stick to terriyaki beef next time. After that, we had french crepes which is next door to this jap place. I ate my usual aumoniere (which is a crepe filled with chocolate, vanilla ice cream and cream). It was heavenly =) I really am a big chocolate fan now. Somehow it makes me feel happy! haha. But talking about that, i had a major chocolate high on thursday night where the bro and i had churros with chocolate dip after having dinner at dessert house. Usually we have a churros (to share) which is a slightly bigger plate for two and a hot cold (hot chocolate with ice cream). But that day, because both of us had a craving and were greedy we ate the churros to share and a single churros plus a hot chocolate. Oh my goodness, after that we were exploding with chocolate overdose!! haha. It was good but maybe a little over the top. Guess we will stick to just one plate to share next time.

I shall get back to preparing my dinner now! We are having chicken rice with frozen breaded chicken with chicken rice chilli and to top it of, egg!

In the meantime, please pray that i will have the discipline to study and prepare for my exams! JASLYN FIGHTING!!!!

ps: thanks Godma for the lovely quotes of encouragement!! you're the best!!!

THE VERY CRUCIAL MONTH

The exam dates are finally out!

9th June: Administrative Law

12th June: Property Law

22 June: Criminal Law

and not forgetting my take home evidence and proof exam from 21st May to 25th May.

My property essay is due in three days time, and once its over, i've to prepare my notes for my evidence and proof exam then at the same time start my revision for my exams since its exactly a month from now. This is going to be a very very crazy month. I expect very little sleep, alot of stress and pimples and alot of hair pulling. There is just SO MUCH to do and SO LITTLE TIME!!!!! HELP!!!! I must hang in there!

the challenges of law school

So its exactly 1 week to handing up my property essay, 3 weeks to my 100% take home exam and about 1 mth plus to the start of exams. And these few weeks, the topic taught in each class seem to get a lot more confusing and challenging. I need to start my revision once my property essay is over. There is just so much to cover and I really need to start NOW. It's the time of the semester where feelings of stress, anxiety, tiredness and everything kicks in. The weather isn't helping either, with temperatures plunging pretty low the past few days. But i just got to HANG IN THERE!!! As they say, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. These are the challenges of law school i should have anticipated anyway, and it probably will not get any easier. I just pray for the strength to go through tough and trying times, that i will not lose faith and that when i feel weary, I will know that there is always light at the end of every dark tunnel. Okay, i better get back to my essay now!!! JIAYOU JASLYN!!!!!!! (haha this is like psyching myself up!!!)

a cold, windy and wet day

Now i'm sitting at my desk, wearing my thick purple jumper, track pants and covering myself with a blanket. It's such a cold cold night tonight. It's currently 9 degrees celsius and somehow today it just seems exceptionally cold. I'm boiling water now to make a hot drink for the bro and myself. I didnt even open the sliding doors today cos i think it will get alot colder then, and i had rather try and retain the heat inside my home instead. I can't believe the weekend is ending. Time is passing a bit too quickly! Tomorrow will be week 8 of school already! 5 more weeks of school and one and a half weeks to handing up my property essay! I've been trying to slog and do it over the weekend. The only consolation is i've finally started writing, but sometimes its just so hard to put all ur points and plan into words. Oh well, i pray that the Lord will give me wisdom and determination to do my property essay.

On a different note, I'm saddened by the news that Uncle Kum Seng passed away last night. But on the other hand, i know that he is now safely in God's hands and that he does not have to suffer all that pain anymore. I'm really glad that he converted into a Christian a few weeks ago. It's truly a miracle and indeed a testimony of God's greatness and God's timing. I take consolation now that he is back home with the Lord. I will always remember him as an extremely nice, soft spoken and good natured uncle that always put others before himself. I remember his last words to the bro and i when he talked to us on the phone the other time 'study hard and take care'. I can't believe he's gone already, but all i know is that he is in a better place now and i should be happy for him. And one thing is for sure, he will never ever be forgotten and that memories i had of him are all happily stored in my head. Goodbye Uncle Kum Seng, thanks for being such a blessing in my life and everybody's life, you will never ever be forgotten =)

Victoria set for cold, wet week

That is the title of one of The Age newspaper's article. Okay, i must remember the brolly and to wear thicker the next few days. Ironically, its not cold at all today! Its like 22 degrees now! How strange. The article says:

"Get out your winter woolies - Victoria is in for a cold, wet and perhaps even wild weekend."

"A series of fronts moving across south-eastern Australia over the next four to seven days is predicted to bring rain, hail and even snow to our tinder-dry state."

haha. how exciting they make it sound but usually its really not tt eventful! But we'll see!!!

7th week of school!

I'm in the midst of my seventh week at school for this semester! Time does pass pretty quickly, another 5 more weeks and the semester is over. So this week is the first week back after the easter holidays. Biggest problem that the bro and i face? Waking up early! haha. After all, we were used to waking up late over the holidays and waking up at 730 was quite a challenge, especially on monday. So its the 7th of week, which means work load is getting heavier. I'm trying to catch up with readings, do my essay, and trying to absorb and remember all the important principles in each case. It just isn't getting any easier. It's the busy busy part of the semester. Anyway, i cooked last night, quite a sumptuous meal. I cooked carrot and potato soup, and tried to cook fried beef with kailan (although in this case its chye sim), brocolli and egg omelette. I think i succeeded since the bro said it was good! =) While eating that, we watched a jet li movie, once upon a time in china III. We've officially completed the trilogy. The three parts were good and enjoyable. This friday i think we are going to play soccer again! That's after taking a break for three weeks. Maybe its time to do some exercise since the last time i actually exercised was also three weeks ago! haha. Anyway, i'll post two pictures of the bro eating my food, one is tomato spaghetti and the other is the meal that we had last night! Okays, back to work!

why is timing running so quickly?

Its friday alreadyyy!!! Why is time running so quickly? Its just pure scary when i think about how many days of my hols have already passed. All i've been looking at the past few days were just body parts material and more body parts material. I'm pretty sick of it already, so much so that last night i had this throbbing headache. I've decided to take a break from my property essay and do something else, like criminal law. But three more weeks to handing up my prop essay and im still planning and wondering what is the best way to write my essay. I've decided that i should just start writing soon and edit along the way.

Three more days left of the easter break and then its another 6 weeks of school, exams and then the semester is over. Time is moving on a little too quickly for my liking. Okays, i need to read my criminal law notes now. Will update soon.

THE "HOLIDAY"

So this week is supposedly easter break, but other than the privilege of sleeping a couple of hours more, this week is more like catching up on work week. I've been trying to read all the property essay material the past few days, and its really alot, since i went to the lib the other day and photocopied quite a bit. I've been reading so much about property law in body parts the past few days that i can only say im confused! This is definitely not an easy area of the law, and i dont even know why i chose that topic. Maybe its out of interest but once i've started, there is no turning back. I need to formulate my argument soon! ah! This is stressful! =( I pray that God will guide me throughout this essay! 3 and a half weeks more to handing it up. It may seem like quite alot of time but trusts me it isnt at all! I've 3 other subjects to juggle with at the same time. Okay, i need determination and strength to persevere!!!

Okay, on a better note, the bro and i are going to eat 'the lot' at crown tonight. That is our new steak sandwich place. We decided that we should eat somewhere different since its the holiday. But since we arent doing anything exciting this hols, the only excitement we can find is to eat good food. Hopefully the place doesnt fail us tonight. Okay, back to more reading!!! INSPIRATION INSPIRATION WHERE ARE YOU?!?

Easter Holiday

The one week easter break has officially started. But once again, mid semester breaks are never really a break. I've loads of work to catch up on, and a property essay which is due in a month's time! Sigh. Oh wells, but at least its good to have a one week break, to catch up on much needed sleep, and to gear myself up for the second half of the semester. Anyway, last night the bro and i had quite an eventful night. We went for dinner at some greek place. It was quite good, but a bit too oily, so we got full very quickly after eating just a bit. After that, we went for dessert at St Churros, where we drank hot chocolate, some malt ice drink and ate churros with chocolate dipping. Chocolate never ever fails to make people happy and i would have enjoyed it more if i wasnt so full from the greek dinner we had before that. We went to catch a movie after that. We watched the new jackie chan show, called Shinjuku Incident. It was a surprisingly good show. Maybe i was impressed because i went in with low expectations since the bro said he thinks its probably more drama than action. Thats partly true but overall i thought the storyline was pretty interesting. And one good thing about watching movies here is that the theatre seats here are way more comfortable than in Singapore. So last night was a good night, with good entertainment and good food. I guess this combination never fails to make me a happy girl. It was a much needed fun night, since both of us were slogging away at our assignment for the past few weeks, and its truly exhausting.

Today is good friday, which means alot of places are closed. I guess we just have to source for food later. Anyway, this week is going to catching up on work time! This is the only time where i can try and keep up with the readings which are by the way --ALOT! haha. anyways, HAPPY GOOD FRIDAYYY to everyone!!

The Soccer Friday and the Hot Saturday

Yesterday was a very interesting day. I'm saying that because it was the very first time i actually played soccer yesterday! haha. It was with the bro and his friends. Somehow the image of me playing football doesnt seem to sit very well in alot of people's minds. When i told a few of my friends that i was playing soccer their first expression was 'are you serious? YOU are playing soccer?' Yes, as surprising as it sounds to everyone, even i myself was surprised that i actually went to play soccer. Maybe its because its been ages since i last exercised and that i really felt like sweating it out. Anyway, the whole soccer experience was quite a good one, except now i'm left with a very very sore body, with a salonpas on my back and a big blueblack on my leg. That was after some strong guy kicked the ball and it hit my leg twice! But other than that, it was a pretty fun experience and i must say it is one of those games where you literally 'sweat it out!'. And according to my bro i'm a very noisy player, i kept screaming and all when i was playing, haha somehow i get excited and all when i play this kind of games. Anyway, now im kind of suffering the after effects of a two hour soccer game, but according to my brother, the first time is always like that and its suppose to get better with time. I seriously hope so!

Anyway, today is a very very hot day!! Its currently 34 degrees and its very very dry. I dislike this kind of weather. It wears me down and makes me feel lethargic. Hopefully the temp will drop in the next few days and during the f1 period! im pretty excited because formula 1 season is starting on thursday. Hopefully the melbourne one is going to be a blast, since we spent a considerable amount on the tickets. Anyway, its back to work now, got readings and all to do!

Thursday, March 19, 2009

End of Week 3

YAY finally the weekend is here. Yes my weekend begins at 3pm on thursday! I can finally wake up later than 730 since for four days of a week, i've to literally drag myself out of bed to attend 9am classes. I'm exhausted after a long and tiring week at school. There is just so much to read and do. But on a brighter note, i do feel like im learning things that are really practical and applicable for my future career as a lawyer. Hopefully this thought will give me the determination to pull through the last two years of uni life. Anyway, the weather here is really hot today, its like 31 degrees. And both the bro and i feel like we are just sizzling at home. The air is really warm and all, and now im hoping that it would rain sometime soon and cool the whole place down. Oh yes, there was apparently an earthquake yesterday but the bro and i didnt feel anything at all. It was suppose to be of a magnitude of 4.6 but either we are too far from where it originated or something, we didnt even know it occurred until we saw it on the online newspaper. Lets just hope such occurrence is a rarity and that we would hopefully not feel it ever.

This week was pretty all right, nothing very exciting, maybe just the day where the bro and i went around the city looking for the poker game and since we were already in the city we decided to take the tram to crown to eat "the lot". "the Lot" is a huge like three slices of white bread with rib eye steak, bacon, egg, mushrooms and all. It was really nice but very very filling at the same time! And the ice chocolate there is good too! =) i expect that we will return soon! i've got photos to show, but i guess the photos dont do enough justice to the quality of the food. Another highlight of the week was on tuesday night where the bro, tim and i went to try the new korean place. It was pretty good, but i think maybe i still prefer the old one better. But maybe thats just me being "si ban". But the kimchi soup with pork was nice. It was a set dinner. It costs about 65 for the set, which apparently feeds 4-5 people but the three of us found it manageable. After that, we proceeded to robyn's place to play poker with our new set that costs us just 13 dollars. One of the bro's friends got it for us and so we decided to play the game. haha it was quite fun, and as the photos will show later, we had one player that "had some eye problem" . haha yes im talking about my own brother! apparently korkor said that he had to wear sunglasses because if not we could all read him like a book! It was quite fun, and the winner in the end was robyn, korkor second, i emerged third and erm tim wee landed up bankrupt! hahah. Okays, enough of talking, let me start posting the pictures! anyway, its rice and dishes tonight! im cooking sukiyaki beef, terriyaki chicken, egg beancurd with prawn paste and egg! Hopefully it will turn out nice!! okays let the pictures do the talking!!! oh yes, i just realised that i havent blogged about my first class experience, ok i shall blog about that soon!!

Work is piling up

Its the end of the second week and that also means that the workload is piling up. I've got an admin law assignment due in slightly less than a mths time and another property research essay due in abt two months time. I had better get started, as besides all those assignments i've tons to read for all the subjects. I pray that God will give me the determination and the strength to fight on and i pray for his mercy and grace.

Anyway on a different note, an update about what we did yesterday! The bro and i went to Kensington recreation centre. The bro went there to play football with a few friends. Haha, i know the whole idea about korkor playing soccer is like 'are you serious?" haha. yes im serious, and i was the spectator, drinks dispenser and time keeper! I quite enjoyed watching it, cos i found it rather hilarious =) After that, we went for our usual fri night hangout, japanese food at port philip arcade. As usual, it was good but i somehow feel like i had an overdose of sashimi! We also had crepes for dessert. So yesterday was pretty exciting i guess, compared to our usual days where we just stay at home the whole day. Today is catching up of work, i've tons of readings to do. Okays, i will post some pictures up soon!

2nd week of school

Time really flies! The second day of the second week of school has just ended. That also means im 1/6 through my school term =) But that also means that the readings are piling up and the work load is getting heavier by the day. The life of a law student. Oh wells. Anyway, the parents have been here the past 11 days and they are leaving tomorrow. That also means that from tomorrow onwards i have to be the full-time cook, "maid" and all in one. But this is also the last semester the bro is going to be here so I'm going to enjoy his company while i still have it! =)

Nothing much has happened since the last time i blogged, except the weather seems to be getting warmer these days. And i for one do not like warm weather at all. Somehow it makes me more irritable and angsty. I am looking forward to winter. Two more months before the nice, cold weather. As for now, its back to the readings!

First week of fourth year!

I'm currently in the midst of the first week of my fourth year of uni! Though its only the first week, i already have tons and tons of reading to do! I guess thats just part and parcel of being a full-fledged law student. But i must say so far im pretty much enjoying my subjects. The content and all are really interesting, and im hoping that my interest in these subjects do eventually show in my final scores. =)

So anyway, the weather here has been pretty good so far. Today is by far the coldest day since i returned back to melbs, its been raining quite alot today and the current temperature is 14 degrees. The wind has also been pretty strong today. Im still trying to readjust back to the time zone and lifestyle here. I guess it takes about a week or so to get used to it all over again. Okays, i shall get back to my reading now, before they start piling up!!!

AND SO THIS MARKS THE END OF MY THREE MONTHS SUMMER BREAK. We are flying back to melbourne tonight. TIme really flies. SChool is gonna start and this also marks my fourth year in university and its kor kor's last semester in melbourne! I pray the good Lord will watch over us and be our light and guidance throughout this semester and beyond. I pray for his abundant blessings on us.

I had a good holiday this time round. A restful and fulfilling one. I got to catch up with friends, spend time with family and eat all my fave local food. Im happy and satisfied and its time to return to melb for a challenging and exciting new semester! =) So let the exciting journey begin, a semester full of hard work, challenges and all. The going gets tough but the tough gets going, im sure that with perseverance and faith, i'll be able to conquer any obstacles that may come my way this semester. =)

SO cheers to a good 2009!!!

timetabling...its that time of the year againn

AND so the time of the year is here again! yes, and im talking abt timetabling! Its seriously the most annoying thing abt uni life! Sitting in front of the com and clicking the subject buttons that always so "full" or "overfull". Seriously annoying! My brother is lucky, this is his last time doing it since its his last sem, while i've three more sems to go! Boo!

ANyway, the holidays have been very awesome so far, and now all that is left is just one whole solid week! THe highlight of these three mths? HONG KONG!!! hahaha and of course, quality time spent with family and friends =) But i know its time for me to go back soon, time to get down to serious work and to complete my law degree. I am kind of excited doing all the law subs but i know its definitely not going to be easy! And its the last sem that the bro will be there with me in melbs!! =( cant believe two years actually passes so quickly!! One minute we were talking abt him adapting to the lifestyle there and the next thing i know he is graduating in a few mths time!

Ok, i shall sleep now! Need to start changing timetable tomorrow morning againnn! And i've a 21st dinner tomorrow! Sam's party! Till then, i shall enjoy my last week left in singapore!
