Now i'm sitting at my desk, wearing my thick purple jumper, track pants and covering myself with a blanket. It's such a cold cold night tonight. It's currently 9 degrees celsius and somehow today it just seems exceptionally cold. I'm boiling water now to make a hot drink for the bro and myself. I didnt even open the sliding doors today cos i think it will get alot colder then, and i had rather try and retain the heat inside my home instead. I can't believe the weekend is ending. Time is passing a bit too quickly! Tomorrow will be week 8 of school already! 5 more weeks of school and one and a half weeks to handing up my property essay! I've been trying to slog and do it over the weekend. The only consolation is i've finally started writing, but sometimes its just so hard to put all ur points and plan into words. Oh well, i pray that the Lord will give me wisdom and determination to do my property essay.
On a different note, I'm saddened by the news that Uncle Kum Seng passed away last night. But on the other hand, i know that he is now safely in God's hands and that he does not have to suffer all that pain anymore. I'm really glad that he converted into a Christian a few weeks ago. It's truly a miracle and indeed a testimony of God's greatness and God's timing. I take consolation now that he is back home with the Lord. I will always remember him as an extremely nice, soft spoken and good natured uncle that always put others before himself. I remember his last words to the bro and i when he talked to us on the phone the other time 'study hard and take care'. I can't believe he's gone already, but all i know is that he is in a better place now and i should be happy for him. And one thing is for sure, he will never ever be forgotten and that memories i had of him are all happily stored in my head. Goodbye Uncle Kum Seng, thanks for being such a blessing in my life and everybody's life, you will never ever be forgotten =)

Victoria set for cold, wet week
That is the title of one of The Age newspaper's article. Okay, i must remember the brolly and to wear thicker the next few days. Ironically, its not cold at all today! Its like 22 degrees now! How strange. The article says:
"Get out your winter woolies - Victoria is in for a cold, wet and perhaps even wild weekend."
"A series of fronts moving across south-eastern Australia over the next four to seven days is predicted to bring rain, hail and even snow to our tinder-dry state."
haha. how exciting they make it sound but usually its really not tt eventful! But we'll see!!!

7th week of school!
I'm in the midst of my seventh week at school for this semester! Time does pass pretty quickly, another 5 more weeks and the semester is over. So this week is the first week back after the easter holidays. Biggest problem that the bro and i face? Waking up early! haha. After all, we were used to waking up late over the holidays and waking up at 730 was quite a challenge, especially on monday. So its the 7th of week, which means work load is getting heavier. I'm trying to catch up with readings, do my essay, and trying to absorb and remember all the important principles in each case. It just isn't getting any easier. It's the busy busy part of the semester. Anyway, i cooked last night, quite a sumptuous meal. I cooked carrot and potato soup, and tried to cook fried beef with kailan (although in this case its chye sim), brocolli and egg omelette. I think i succeeded since the bro said it was good! =) While eating that, we watched a jet li movie, once upon a time in china III. We've officially completed the trilogy. The three parts were good and enjoyable. This friday i think we are going to play soccer again! That's after taking a break for three weeks. Maybe its time to do some exercise since the last time i actually exercised was also three weeks ago! haha. Anyway, i'll post two pictures of the bro eating my food, one is tomato spaghetti and the other is the meal that we had last night! Okays, back to work!

why is timing running so quickly?
Its friday alreadyyy!!! Why is time running so quickly? Its just pure scary when i think about how many days of my hols have already passed. All i've been looking at the past few days were just body parts material and more body parts material. I'm pretty sick of it already, so much so that last night i had this throbbing headache. I've decided to take a break from my property essay and do something else, like criminal law. But three more weeks to handing up my prop essay and im still planning and wondering what is the best way to write my essay. I've decided that i should just start writing soon and edit along the way.
Three more days left of the easter break and then its another 6 weeks of school, exams and then the semester is over. Time is moving on a little too quickly for my liking. Okays, i need to read my criminal law notes now. Will update soon.

THE "HOLIDAY"
So this week is supposedly easter break, but other than the privilege of sleeping a couple of hours more, this week is more like catching up on work week. I've been trying to read all the property essay material the past few days, and its really alot, since i went to the lib the other day and photocopied quite a bit. I've been reading so much about property law in body parts the past few days that i can only say im confused! This is definitely not an easy area of the law, and i dont even know why i chose that topic. Maybe its out of interest but once i've started, there is no turning back. I need to formulate my argument soon! ah! This is stressful! =( I pray that God will guide me throughout this essay! 3 and a half weeks more to handing it up. It may seem like quite alot of time but trusts me it isnt at all! I've 3 other subjects to juggle with at the same time. Okay, i need determination and strength to persevere!!!
Okay, on a better note, the bro and i are going to eat 'the lot' at crown tonight. That is our new steak sandwich place. We decided that we should eat somewhere different since its the holiday. But since we arent doing anything exciting this hols, the only excitement we can find is to eat good food. Hopefully the place doesnt fail us tonight. Okay, back to more reading!!! INSPIRATION INSPIRATION WHERE ARE YOU?!?

Easter Holiday
The one week easter break has officially started. But once again, mid semester breaks are never really a break. I've loads of work to catch up on, and a property essay which is due in a month's time! Sigh. Oh wells, but at least its good to have a one week break, to catch up on much needed sleep, and to gear myself up for the second half of the semester. Anyway, last night the bro and i had quite an eventful night. We went for dinner at some greek place. It was quite good, but a bit too oily, so we got full very quickly after eating just a bit. After that, we went for dessert at St Churros, where we drank hot chocolate, some malt ice drink and ate churros with chocolate dipping. Chocolate never ever fails to make people happy and i would have enjoyed it more if i wasnt so full from the greek dinner we had before that. We went to catch a movie after that. We watched the new jackie chan show, called Shinjuku Incident. It was a surprisingly good show. Maybe i was impressed because i went in with low expectations since the bro said he thinks its probably more drama than action. Thats partly true but overall i thought the storyline was pretty interesting. And one good thing about watching movies here is that the theatre seats here are way more comfortable than in Singapore. So last night was a good night, with good entertainment and good food. I guess this combination never fails to make me a happy girl. It was a much needed fun night, since both of us were slogging away at our assignment for the past few weeks, and its truly exhausting.
Today is good friday, which means alot of places are closed. I guess we just have to source for food later. Anyway, this week is going to catching up on work time! This is the only time where i can try and keep up with the readings which are by the way --ALOT! haha. anyways, HAPPY GOOD FRIDAYYY to everyone!!

The Soccer Friday and the Hot Saturday
Yesterday was a very interesting day. I'm saying that because it was the very first time i actually played soccer yesterday! haha. It was with the bro and his friends. Somehow the image of me playing football doesnt seem to sit very well in alot of people's minds. When i told a few of my friends that i was playing soccer their first expression was 'are you serious? YOU are playing soccer?' Yes, as surprising as it sounds to everyone, even i myself was surprised that i actually went to play soccer. Maybe its because its been ages since i last exercised and that i really felt like sweating it out. Anyway, the whole soccer experience was quite a good one, except now i'm left with a very very sore body, with a salonpas on my back and a big blueblack on my leg. That was after some strong guy kicked the ball and it hit my leg twice! But other than that, it was a pretty fun experience and i must say it is one of those games where you literally 'sweat it out!'. And according to my bro i'm a very noisy player, i kept screaming and all when i was playing, haha somehow i get excited and all when i play this kind of games. Anyway, now im kind of suffering the after effects of a two hour soccer game, but according to my brother, the first time is always like that and its suppose to get better with time. I seriously hope so!
Anyway, today is a very very hot day!! Its currently 34 degrees and its very very dry. I dislike this kind of weather. It wears me down and makes me feel lethargic. Hopefully the temp will drop in the next few days and during the f1 period! im pretty excited because formula 1 season is starting on thursday. Hopefully the melbourne one is going to be a blast, since we spent a considerable amount on the tickets. Anyway, its back to work now, got readings and all to do!

End of Week 3
YAY finally the weekend is here. Yes my weekend begins at 3pm on thursday! I can finally wake up later than 730 since for four days of a week, i've to literally drag myself out of bed to attend 9am classes. I'm exhausted after a long and tiring week at school. There is just so much to read and do. But on a brighter note, i do feel like im learning things that are really practical and applicable for my future career as a lawyer. Hopefully this thought will give me the determination to pull through the last two years of uni life. Anyway, the weather here is really hot today, its like 31 degrees. And both the bro and i feel like we are just sizzling at home. The air is really warm and all, and now im hoping that it would rain sometime soon and cool the whole place down. Oh yes, there was apparently an earthquake yesterday but the bro and i didnt feel anything at all. It was suppose to be of a magnitude of 4.6 but either we are too far from where it originated or something, we didnt even know it occurred until we saw it on the online newspaper. Lets just hope such occurrence is a rarity and that we would hopefully not feel it ever.
This week was pretty all right, nothing very exciting, maybe just the day where the bro and i went around the city looking for the poker game and since we were already in the city we decided to take the tram to crown to eat "the lot". "the Lot" is a huge like three slices of white bread with rib eye steak, bacon, egg, mushrooms and all. It was really nice but very very filling at the same time! And the ice chocolate there is good too! =) i expect that we will return soon! i've got photos to show, but i guess the photos dont do enough justice to the quality of the food. Another highlight of the week was on tuesday night where the bro, tim and i went to try the new korean place. It was pretty good, but i think maybe i still prefer the old one better. But maybe thats just me being "si ban". But the kimchi soup with pork was nice. It was a set dinner. It costs about 65 for the set, which apparently feeds 4-5 people but the three of us found it manageable. After that, we proceeded to robyn's place to play poker with our new set that costs us just 13 dollars. One of the bro's friends got it for us and so we decided to play the game. haha it was quite fun, and as the photos will show later, we had one player that "had some eye problem" . haha yes im talking about my own brother! apparently korkor said that he had to wear sunglasses because if not we could all read him like a book! It was quite fun, and the winner in the end was robyn, korkor second, i emerged third and erm tim wee landed up bankrupt! hahah. Okays, enough of talking, let me start posting the pictures! anyway, its rice and dishes tonight! im cooking sukiyaki beef, terriyaki chicken, egg beancurd with prawn paste and egg! Hopefully it will turn out nice!! okays let the pictures do the talking!!! oh yes, i just realised that i havent blogged about my first class experience, ok i shall blog about that soon!!

Work is piling up
Its the end of the second week and that also means that the workload is piling up. I've got an admin law assignment due in slightly less than a mths time and another property research essay due in abt two months time. I had better get started, as besides all those assignments i've tons to read for all the subjects. I pray that God will give me the determination and the strength to fight on and i pray for his mercy and grace.
Anyway on a different note, an update about what we did yesterday! The bro and i went to Kensington recreation centre. The bro went there to play football with a few friends. Haha, i know the whole idea about korkor playing soccer is like 'are you serious?" haha. yes im serious, and i was the spectator, drinks dispenser and time keeper! I quite enjoyed watching it, cos i found it rather hilarious =) After that, we went for our usual fri night hangout, japanese food at port philip arcade. As usual, it was good but i somehow feel like i had an overdose of sashimi! We also had crepes for dessert. So yesterday was pretty exciting i guess, compared to our usual days where we just stay at home the whole day. Today is catching up of work, i've tons of readings to do. Okays, i will post some pictures up soon!

2nd week of school
Time really flies! The second day of the second week of school has just ended. That also means im 1/6 through my school term =) But that also means that the readings are piling up and the work load is getting heavier by the day. The life of a law student. Oh wells. Anyway, the parents have been here the past 11 days and they are leaving tomorrow. That also means that from tomorrow onwards i have to be the full-time cook, "maid" and all in one. But this is also the last semester the bro is going to be here so I'm going to enjoy his company while i still have it! =)
Nothing much has happened since the last time i blogged, except the weather seems to be getting warmer these days. And i for one do not like warm weather at all. Somehow it makes me more irritable and angsty. I am looking forward to winter. Two more months before the nice, cold weather. As for now, its back to the readings!

First week of fourth year!
I'm currently in the midst of the first week of my fourth year of uni! Though its only the first week, i already have tons and tons of reading to do! I guess thats just part and parcel of being a full-fledged law student. But i must say so far im pretty much enjoying my subjects. The content and all are really interesting, and im hoping that my interest in these subjects do eventually show in my final scores. =)
So anyway, the weather here has been pretty good so far. Today is by far the coldest day since i returned back to melbs, its been raining quite alot today and the current temperature is 14 degrees. The wind has also been pretty strong today. Im still trying to readjust back to the time zone and lifestyle here. I guess it takes about a week or so to get used to it all over again. Okays, i shall get back to my reading now, before they start piling up!!!

AND SO THIS MARKS THE END OF MY THREE MONTHS SUMMER BREAK. We are flying back to melbourne tonight. TIme really flies. I pray the good Lord will watch over us and be our light and guidance throughout this semester and beyond. I pray for his abundant blessings on us.

Im happy and satisfied and its time to return to melb for a challenging and exciting new semester! =) So let the exciting journey begin, a semester full of hard work, challenges and all. The going gets tough but the tough gets going, im sure that with perseverance and faith, i'll be able to conquer any obstacles that may come my way this semester. =)

timetabling...its that time of the year againn
AND so the time of the year is here again! yes, and im talking abt timetabling! Its seriously the most annoying thing abt uni life! Sitting in front of the com and clicking the subject buttons that always so "full" or "overfull". Seriously annoying! My brother is lucky, this is his last time doing it since its his last sem, while i've three more sems to go! Boo!
ANyway, the holidays have been very awesome so far, and now all that is left is just one whole solid week! THe highlight of these three mths? HONG KONG!!! hahaha and of course, quality time spent with family and friends =) But i know its time for me to go back soon, time to get down to serious work and to complete my law degree. I am kind of excited doing all the law subs but i know its definitely not going to be easy! And its the last sem that the bro will be there with me in melbs!! =( cant believe two years actually passes so quickly!! One minute we were talking abt him adapting to the lifestyle there and the next thing i know he is graduating in a few mths time!
Ok, i shall sleep now! Need to start changing timetable tomorrow morning againnn! And i've a 21st dinner tomorrow! Sam's party! Till then, i shall enjoy my last week left in singapore!

in the midst of the studying period..
And so its exactly 8 days till my first paper begins. There is still alot of ground to cover, but i will work at it and make sure i'm fully and adequately prepared before my 'big' day. The preparation for exams is always the tiring bit, when you know you have four very heavy subjects to cover and the material just staring at you everyday. But i guess that's just part of university life, one step closer to going out there to the workforce. Anyway, thanks to mummy, i dont have to worry about food during this hectic period. Okays, its back to the books now, STUDY STUDY STUDYY! =)

Korkor's very special day! =)
So today is korkor's very special birthday!!! =) Due to work commitments and all, we could only have a mini celebration for him in the comfort of our home. We had sukiyaki at home, it was a debut and i must say it was pretty successful! We are all so full and satisfied now. For a change, we even had a packet of wagyu beef to add to the normal shabu shabu beef, and it was pure awesome! It was soft and the sort that leaves a really good after taste in ur mouth. After that, mum and i placed a candle on a cupcake and went in to korkor's room to surprise him, singing him a birthday song and all. We took a few pictures, which will pretty much sum up the night! haha sorry bro, i know ur cake was way too small, but hey at least for the first time 'you can have ur cake and eat it too!' haha. Anyway we love you loads and a very HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! =) So these photos are also very daddy, so that he at least knows how we spent the day here. We wish you were here too dad! =) Okay, let the photos do the talking now!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ONCE AGAIN!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAREST BRO!!! =)
AND SO THE CLOCK STRIKES 12 HERE AND ITS HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAYY MY DEARRR BROTHER! YOU ARE OFFICIALLY 23 NOW! =) This is the last time you will be celebrating ur birthday in melbourne because next year at this time you will be in singapore already! WAH time really flies very fast. Ur two years here is ending very soon. =( oh wells! but on a happier note, you've been a very awesome brother cum housemate cum everything into one! May all ur wishes and heart desires come true! I LOVE YOU MANY MANYYY! (okay i know the youtube birthday song thing was way too cliche and dumb! but haha that was the best thing i could think of this time of the night!) Ur birthday always falls during the busy period, haha but nevermind we'll celebrate again once this madness is over! but its sukiyaki for us tonight!! =) HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ONCE AGAIN!!! =) XOXO
