SO MUCH TO DO, SO LITTLE TIME...

Sigh! im halfway through swot vac week and there is still TONS to do, and yet not enough time! i hate this race against time. I feel physically and mentally so tired already!! ahh...this semester seems like a mad rush! and the weather is cold, too cold in fact that i feel like just snuggling under my sheets but obviously i know i cant do that now! ahh i seriously need to hang in there and push even harder!!! DETERMINATION AND PERSEVERANCE!!!!ahh easier said than done! oh wells, what can i say besides i really cant wait for this madness to be over!!! In the meantime, I REALLY NEED TO STUDY.

Swot Vac Week

and so the marathon begins...what else can i say besides 'STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!!!'

I pray the Lord will watch over me over this period, and that i can trust him that he would always be there for me!!! i pray for determination and strength that when im weary and tired, he would perk me up and encourage me all the way! i shall commit to the Lord everything i do! =)

Last week of School--last day tomorrow!

Week 12 is finally here! That means two more weeks to exams and two more days till my law essay is due! ahh stresss!! i just totally dread this part of the semester! Its where intensive studying begins and i go into total hibernation mode! But that also means its three and a half more weeks to home!!!! =)

Well, overall this semester was pretty all right! Quite a mad rush this semester because we had our mid sem holiday very early on in the semester in week 3 and then its been pretty much madness from week 3 to week 12. And this semester we had three batches of visitors, first was Godma and Godpa, second was aaron and jane and third was wyman and rebecca! It was really really nice having all of them over, and spreading to us loads of family love from singapore! =) I totally enjoyed having them over and taking them around, living with them and learning more about each of them as well. Now, its just me and the bro at home, aand then on the 12th of june korkor is flying back! That's like on the 2nd day of my exams but then MUMMY is coming on the 8th!!! YAY!! and then we will both be flying back together! I'm glad ill have mummy to accompany me through my exams, and at least there is someone here with me! =)

I'm looking forward to the winter break! But in the meantime, its just alot of discipline and determination and its a race against time!!! JIAYOU JASLYN!!!! I'll see everyone soon!! =)

PSYCHED UP FOR THE EXAMS!!!

i'm suddenly feeling totally psyched up for the exams! three and a half more weeks to exams, TONS to cover but yet i suddenly feel this strong urge to study like never before and putting in tons of effort the next few weeks! Though im seriously feeling the stress from the exams, i know that i can do it!! HANG IN THERE JASLYN!! The weekend was spent trying to cover as many topics and catching up as much as i can for law! but there is still tons and tons to do and read! Sigh, and then there are the other three commerce subs that i've to cover! ah dear Lord, please grant me the strength and wisdom the next few weeks! Whenever the road seems impossible ahead i know that i can trust the lord in guiding me! 5 days to the law essay topic comes out and then its one serious week of doing that essay and study at the same time! ahhh this semester is pretty hectic! okay got to go sleep soon, i've got an early class tomorrow!! JIAYOU JASLYN!!!!

Term is ending...Exams are nearing

Week 10 of school has just ended and that means its two more weeks of school before the semester is over! That means its three and a half weeks to exams! AHHH! Stress!! I've TONS to study and not much time left! I pray that God will give me the strength to keep going, to work hard for the next month and persevere!!!

The weather here however isnt helping, its so good to sleep in and it gets dark at 5! sigh! thats the downside of studying in a country with four seasons! but then again, this weather is so much better than the dreadful humid weather back home! Today, the day was spent studying in the law library with my two other friends. We had a discussion for three hours of the main cases and principles, intensive stuff i must say. There are just so many cases to read for law, im not complaining though cos they are pretty interesting to read but its the application of these cases to the exams that im complaining about! sigh! tons of reading to catch up and there are three other subjects to do as well! anyway, I will hang in there and do my utmost best for the upcoming exam!

COLD COLD WEATHER

the weather in melbourne has taken a plunge over the past few days!! Yesterday was one of the coldest days ever, with temps being as low as 7 degree celsius. And its only autumn now! It has also been raining the past few days and i guess thats what contributes to the low temperatures. Out comes the winter jackets and layers and layers of clothings.

So the past few days have been great with the Godparents here in melbourne. WE went to arthurs seat, mt dandenong, crown, southbank, vic mart and all. Enjoyed every moment of it =) the bro and i are having $10 steak tonight and the godparents are meeting their friends for dinner!

a quick update!

so my GODPARENTS are coming in three days!!! yippeeee im so super duperly excited!! =) First time for Godpa and second time for Godma! Its always great to have the ones you love come visit you and spend time with you! Anyways, life has been pretty busy these past few days and all, with my investments mid sem that ended on thurs (which didnt go too well) and another corp fi exam coming up in three days! THe day i have my corp fi exam is the day tt my Godparents are coming! Its pretty good timing i guess, ending my mid sems the day they arrive.

Oh wells! i gotta go study for corporate finance now. I'm gonna study hard and make sure i can anticipate and handle all the stupidly tricky questions that the lecturers are always so fond of giving! ahhh! okay so its countdown till the godparents arrive and then it would be aaron and jane after that!

okays i'm listening to lam fung's fantastic cd now, yay! it definitely puts me in a better mood! so its back to studying!!! =)

Mid Sems are commingggggg!!!

This is such a stressful period, ive got an investments mid semester on thursday and another corporate finance mid sem the following tuesday!! i need to study study study!!! oh wells! this time of the semester is always the crazy period, either you have essays or exams!

Other than that, the bro, Tim and i went to watch AFL last saturday! it was pretty good, the MCG is such a HUGE stadium! there were like 60,000 over people watching. It was really massive! it was a good experience and i quite enjoyed myself. Last sunday night was spent watching formula 1 on tv! the bro was not happy with the results! haha cos hamilton had a really poor start and didnt come in top ten. The week that passed was a pretty ordinary week, nothing way too exciting. I cooked quite a fair bit this week. hmms actually for three days only but it was the most since i came back! We're going to the supermart once the bro gets up and all then we'll probably buy sushi back for lunch! and after that its just work work and more work!!!

End of Easter Break

Today being sunday marks the end of a week long easter holiday! And this also means that the next 9 weeks and more is gonna be really hectic and tiring! Oh wells! i shall generate all my energy into studying really hard the next few months! The easter break was pretty all right, nothing too exciting or nothing particularly interesting. Its a one week break after all so i guess i cant expect much out of it!

Its about 17 degrees now, not too cold but the weather forecast says its suppose to rain today! Melbourne has been experiencing a rainy season the past few days which is pretty unusual here. But i guess the rainy weather makes it really nice and cold so im not really complaining. Except that once school starts it may get a lil inconvenient when going to school! Okay, i realised i havent posted any pictures up for a while. i will post up some F1 pictures soon! Till then, laters!! =)

A cold and wet day

Its pouring outside and its only 10 degrees today. Because of the super cold weather, i had one of the best and deepest sleep last night. =) that also means, it was so hard to drag myself out of bed this morning. Seriously, this weather just makes you wanna hide under your sheets and sleep the whole day. But then again, i can't do that cos ive got to do revision and recap what i've learnt the past few weeks. Sigh. Anyways, my stomach is rumbling, i think we are gonna eat crepe for lunch. so laters! =)

Easter holidays 2008

It has been ages since i last blogged! from what i see, the last time i actually blogged was in november last year!! omg, thats long. anyways, i was deciding between leaving my blog dead or whether to continue to type in entries and i decided to go with the latter because i realised that when i do go back and read my blog entries they remind me of the different things i did during the past few semesters and all. All these entries are gonna form part of my memories and its something definitely worth looking back in the future.

Its the easter holidays now, in fact this year, easter is pretty early because usually the hols start in april but this year, the hols start in march. Life has been pretty good here so far, except for the terrible weather. I was expecting a much cooler autumn and all but this year's autumn proved to be one of the hottest. With temperatures soaring to 40 degrees and so, i definitely have the effects of it all over my body now. Sunburnt skin that is peeling like mad everyday is exactly what i have now. That is thanks to formula 1, where i spent three solid days out there in the scorching heat seeing cars zoom by. But dont get me wrong, im definitely not complaining, because i had an awesome time and i definitely have no regrets going there! Its just that the weather was way too harsh, and sitting out there under the sun for 6 hours or so was pretty torturous. Oh wells, lets just thank God that the singapore one is a night race.

On a different note, the easter hols have been pretty good so far, we had a potluck party on saturday night and it was loads of food and plenty of nintendo wiing the whole night. And moreover my friend sam seah is here from bris, so hanging out with her and all has been good fun. ahh, its like raining outside now, that is a pretty rare occurence in melbourne as it very rarely rains here. Oh wells, its gonna be a stormy and windy night ahead!

i guess thats about all i have to update for now! anyway HAPPY EASTER TO ALL OUT THERE =)

haha though you are just next door now, compared to the past few years when you were back in singapore and i was here on ur birthday, i thought i'll write you a post! Daylight Saving!

Melbourne is currently 3 hours ahead of Singapore due to daylight saving! So its super long days and short nights now.

Goodbye Second Year...

Today marks the last day of my second year in university! and its the last day of semester 2, 2007! Overall, i pretty much enjoyed this entire semester. I can't believe its the last day of school already! Time really flies and its less than a month before i head back to sunny singapore! I'm pretty much looking forward to it but i'm dreading the hot and humid weather back home. Anyways, this semester was pretty good and different in that korkor is here and its always good to have a close family member with you when you are faraway from home. Somehow the loneliness just doesn't kick in as much and its always good to have someone to talk to all the time. Cheers bro, you've been a rather good housemate this semester! So its swot vac week next week, which is also mugging like crazy week! there is just tons to do, and so little time that i'm getting a little jittery and scared. But i know with God's grace and help i'll be able to overcome any difficulties that may arise. Anyways, here its byebye to second year of uni, and i do hope to end it off with a 'bang' in terms of outstanding resullts. So for now, i've just gotta work super hard and all. I guess i'll probably miss school a little now that the next time i attend school will be next march. So i decided to take a few photos in school yesterday and today! And its also cos Harry (my korean friend) will be going for exchange next semester so i won't be seeing him in a year! And also Olivia who may leave for exchange the semester after! So who knows when we'll all be in the same lecture and classes again! and so i'll stop here and let the pictures sum up the last two days of school...

enough of staring at the laptop screenn......

My eyes are totally criss crossing, i officially hate staring at the laptop screen for hours and hours on end. It sucks but its not like i have much of a choice. I've been trying to type my law notes out for more than a week and obviously im not done since its never ending. And i realise i spend countless hours a day staring at this very screen. Firstly, i bring my laptop to law classes which are 2 hours per seminar and a grand total of 8 hours a week. Plus, loads of notes typing these few weeks has increased the number of hours i stare at the screen by twofold or more. Sigh. i'm beginning to really get sick of this computer screeen but i know once my law papers are done on the 7th and 8th, i promise i will not stare at any more computer screens for the next few months! Sigh, one more week left of school and two weeks plus to exams! i can already feel the tremendous pressure building up! im in dire need of more motivation and persevarance. As it is for now, i begin to feel the exam preparation take its toll on me, totally draining me and making me wonder how im gonna squeeze all that information into my brain. But i guess as they say 'the going gets tough, the tough gets going'. ok, just a short update or rather an avenue for me to rant about my daily misfortunes of having to stare at this computer screen ! Totally mindless stuff, but i just couldnt bear to see my blog look totally dead. Anyways, its back to typing more exam notes.

Exams are coming...

Its three and a half weeks to exam! ah! the thought of that is pretty scary, which means im going to be super busy trying to catch up with my work now! but that means its about 6 weeks to singapore =) ok, so its crazy mugging for the next few weeks...i shall work really really hard so that i'll be able to fully enjoy my three solid months back in singapore! there will probably be a lack of posts on this blog cos i prob won't have the time and my life probably wouldnt be that exciting over the next few weeks! Anyway, I pray that God will watch over me and give me full concentration and the determination to study really hard. So its back to work now =) Hope all is well back home!
